Subject: Baez & The Dead!🤣

It’s an honor to be the first one to review this version of this recording. We truly are grateful that recordings of shows like this exist. Or at least ... we should be. The word grateful is in the band name Grateful Dead for a reason. Sometimes some reviewers and/or fans can seem downright ungrateful. Don’t wanna throw anybody under a bus. However, as Graham has duly noted in the past, our Fillmore West shows of former errors, sometimes Grateful Dead fans right in the show can be a little pushy about what they prefer shouting out names of songs you know, push pushing their concepts and their opinions all too much. Maybe they should’ve just let the music go and trust in the artist to do what the artist have been practicing to do for years. we have a Joan Baez in her late 30s early 40s probably in her 40s. A former partner of Bob Dylan. A huge influence upon millions of musical artists. And what do we have? Wind up with people reviewing like oy vey the cringe meter on this it’s so cringe people, understand the historical context of which were speaking here. Sure Joan Baez’s voice can sound like a cheese grater on your soul at times. Might be why Bob Dylan no longer is with her. However, her songs are downright freaking cool at least if you analyze the words. Her sentiments are freaking so super cool. And if you can’t stand her voice just like most Grateful Dead fans misogynist speaking seem to not prefer female voices for some reason I could be wrong. Then at least dial in and focus on what Jerry Bob and at least Mickey and Brent and Phil are doing. I’m not sure if Billy is there or not but focusing upon what the musicians are doing right than what the vocalist is, singing, helps me during these moments. This show is certainly a treasure. The playing is fantastic. The recording and the recording is what it is and we got an artifact here historically speaking this is freaking cool. I’m super psyched that I found this. I’ve heard about the show, but never was able to witness it and the performance the dead is not the best not the worst but it’s what you expect from the Grateful Dead that left the stage for the encore but that’s Jerry for you. He had better things to do anyway not essential but one that’s certainly unique. I enjoyed it. And it’s not qualitatively saying it is the best or worst sometimes best or worst doesn’t matter. Joan Baez deserves more credit than what she’s been given. In my estimation instead of people lambasting her for being cringe.
